Ascension Lutheran Church is faithful to the Bible and the Lutheran Confessions. We worship together and enjoy fellowship every Sunday and occasionally for special holidays, feast days, and other major events.
It is our deep passion to share Christ and the message of what God has done for all people through Jesus Christ with all people, everywhere.

… because God first loved us …
We do this to bring people closer to our Heavenly Father. Jesus says “ we must love our God with all our hearts, all our minds and all our souls. Jesus leads us all to the heart of God. The goal here is to for everyone to gain fulfillment of Gods promises for our lives. As we continue to come together with new ideas and request for inspiring bible studies, we continue to grow and continue to learn the real message of the word of God in our lives.
Loving One Another
… because God first loved us …
We love one another because we have been commanded to do so by God. This love is the evidence of the Holy Spirit within us. Jesus says: “Whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen”. Ascension has many ways of showing this love for one another. We come together, with some events sharing joy, and others comforting in times of sorrow. As Martin Luther has said: “The whole being of any Christian is faith and love. Faith brings the person to God; love brings the person to people”.
Loving the Community
… because God first loved us …
During his time on earth, Jesus ministered to many people. He fed the hungry, cared for the sick, and comforted the grieving. No matter their gender, ethnicity, or background – man, woman, child, Pharisee, Samaritan – Jesus demonstrated his love for them all. He wants us to do the same. Loving the community at Ascension means following Jesus’ example of loving ALL our neighbors, helping and ministering to them when they are in need. We show Jesus’ love to the community through food and clothing donations, serving at food banks, and sponsoring neighborhood events.
